From the Principal

Penrith Public School provides a warm and caring learning environment for its diverse range of students who represent thirty-eight nationalities. Our core values of Learning, Cooperation, Respect and Environment have provided direction and a shared language for our planning and programs.

The staff at Penrith Public School are very experienced and approach their teaching with skill, care and dedication. In addition to providing a well-balanced academic curriculum, teachers work hard to provide opportunities for students to develop their physical, social and thinking skills within and beyond the classroom.

Our Student Representative Council (SRC) meets regularly to contribute to the running of the school with suggestions and ideas from the students they represent. The SRC also leads four major fundraising activities during the year to raise money for charity.

Parents and caregivers play a very important role in the school. In addition to an active Parents and Citizens' Association (P&C) and canteen, parents and caregivers participate in the school Volunteers Program which supports students' learning. Training is provided for all volunteers.

It is a great pleasure to be Principal of a school where students, staff, parents and caregivers work together to promote learning, cooperation, respect and environment for all members of the school community.
